BIRTHDATES: As a couple, Dan and Christine began their work together in Congo on August 3, 1983. God allowed us to serve 13 years in the interior and since 1998 we have lived and worked in the sprawling city of Kinshasa. Mark Grings started and built the church that we have been privileged to Shepherd for the past five years. We praise God for Mark's faithfulness in training men to serve Him and that we now have the opportunity to work with many of these men. We are committed to carry the torch as we reap the harvest of those who have planted and watered before us, while continuing to plant the seed of God's Word through preaching and teaching His Truth.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY - 09/05
God is faithful to answer your fervent prayers for the work here in Congo! Thank you for partnering with us in this sacrificial way! In June, some of our children arrived in Congo for the summer ministry here. Andrew & Joyanna, Andrew & Bethany and Amy came home to the Congo in June and Sarah and her friend James arrived here in July. Attached is a picture of the whole Grings family.
The summer team ministered together with VBS at our local church, teen retreats, and ministering on Sundays in sister churches throughout Kinshasa. Throughout the month of June the summer team taught in chapels at our primary and secondary schools every Tuesday & Thursday, also in Sunday Schools, Ladies Bible Studies, Prayer meetings and weekly visitation. On July 6 the twelve of us along with four national believers headed to the interior by vehicle, and then by dugout canoe and outboard motor eventually reaching Longa where we lived and ministered for thirteen years. We held VBS in three villages, an ordination along the way, and worked on the Bible Institute buildings and airstrip at Dibaya.
Thank you for praying for traveling mercies and a fruitful harvest of souls along the way. We serve a Mighty God who is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." II Peter 3:9 Thank you for laboring with us through your prayers and financial support.
